Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the City of Urbandale with official apparel and Centennial merchandise.
The Centennial logo on the coin’s face was created by Urbandale native Cari Wasmund. Drawings on the reverse side of the coin are by Urbandale High School alumnus Alex Smith.
Numbered coins are available for purchase $50 each and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. More than 600 coins with no special numbering or stamping are available for $20 each.
“I think they’re great looking” says Mayor Robert Andeweg. “I like collectibles like that, especially for the history of Urbandale. The Centennial is a very significant event, and I want to preserve that. I hope everyone will take advantage of the opportunity to own one of these keepsake medallions and to participate in the year-long Centennial celebration.”
